About Us

Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley School District #2888 is a consolidated district.  It is comprised of Clinton School District #58, Graceville School District #60, and Beardsley School District #57.  It was three separate districts at one time, then in 1986-1987 Clinton-Graceville paired and eventually consolidated on 7/1/1990 thus becoming Clinton-Graceville School District #55. Beardsley paired with Browns Valley in 1985. On 7/1/1998 Clinton, Graceville, and Beardsley consolidated to become C-G-B School District #2888. A Middle School in Beardsley began with the 1999-2000 school year.  This middle school was then closed in the summer of 2005.  Two Hutterite Colonies: Big Stone and Lismore are a part of our school district. They each have their own school building on their property.  Big Stone left our district and became their own non-public school in 2013 but Lismore is still a part of the district.

The Elementary School in Clinton not only house K-6 but there is also a preschool/headstart classroom there as well with the program being run by Prairie Five out of Madison, MN. The High School in Graceville house grades 7-12. Lismore houses their own students grades K-12.

The Beardsley building was built in 1954. The main part of the Clinton building was built in 1935, gymnasium in 1940, and the south elementary portion in 1954.  The Graceville School was built in 1959 and the new addition was built in 1996. The old 3 story part of the 1959 building was torn down in 1997. The graduating class of 1997 was the first class to graduate with the new addition.

We offer a wide variety of courses to our students, as well as a vast array of extra-curricular activities! We also have agreements with nearby schools for a few sports to give our students more opportunities.

C-G-B is home to the Wolverines.  Clinton was the Rockets, Graceville the Shamrocks, and Beardsley the Mustangs. Although C-G-B is the Wolverines, there are several sports that we have that are paired with area schools, therefore they have a different mascot/team name.

Your weather just got better.
