 February 19, 2018    Agralite Electric Cooperative    The recipient must be a dependent of a consumer of Agralite who is enrolled or planning to enroll in a full-time graduate or undergraduate course of study at an accredited, two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational/technical school.

Applicant must fill out application, write an essay, send in a recent academic transcript, copy of ACT, and an applicant appraisal.

  AgCountry Farm Credit Services-Scholarship in Agriculture
  Applicant must be from an actively farming or ranching family OR must be planning to pursue a career in farming or some other aspect of agriculture.
  Application can be found in the commons or Ms. Feldt's office.
             
 March 1      American Legion Auxiliary Spirit of Youth Scholarship for Junior Members        -Candidates for this award shall be/shall have been Junior members of the American Legion Auxiliary for the past three consecutive years and must hold a membership card for the current (2018) year. Applicant must continue her membership n the American Legion Auxiliary during the four-year-scholarship period.
-Applicants must be in their senior year of an accredited high school.
-This is a four year scholarship to attend an accredited institution of higher education. Applicants must be of good character and have grades which meet entrance requirements as the institution of their choice. Must have at least a 3.0 GPA using a 4.0 base.

 March 1      American Legion Auxiliary Scholarship for Non-Traditional Students       -Applicant must be a member of The American Legion Auxiliary, or Sons of The American Legion and shall have paid dues for the two preceding years and for the calendar year in which the application is made.
-Applicant must be: a non-traditional student returning to the classroom after some period of time in which his/her formal education was interrupted OR a non-traditional student who is jut beginning his/her education as a later point in life.
-American Legion Spirit of Youth Scholarship recipients are not eligible.

 March 1      American Legion Auxiliary Children of Warriors National Presidents' Scholarship       -Candidates for this award shall be daughters, sons, grandsons, granddaughters, great-granddaughters, or great-grandsons of veterans who served in the Armed Forces during eligibility dates for membership in The American Legion.
-April 6, 1917-Novemeber 11, 1918 (WWI)
-December 7, 1941-December 31, 1946 (WWII)
-June 25, 1950-January 31, 1955 (Korea)
-February 28, 1961-May 7, 1975 (Vietnam)
-August 24, 1982-July 31, 1984 (Grenada and Lebanon)
-December 20, 1989-January 31, 1990 (Panama)
-August 2, 1990 to the date of cessation of hostilities (Persian Gulf to present)
-Must be a senior
-Have completed 50 hours of volunteer service within the community during his/her high school years

 March 5      American Legion Auxiliary Department of MN Scholarship       -Department scholarships are awarded to deserving sons or daughters, grandsons or granddaughters of a veteran who are in need of financial assistance to avail themselves of higher education at the post-secondary level.
-To be eligible for these scholarships, the veteran must have served in the Armed Forces during one of these eligibility dates:
-April 6, 1917-November 11, 1918
-December 7, 1941-January 31, 1955
-June 25, 1950-January 31, 1955
-February 28, 1961-May 7, 1975
-August 24, 1982-July 31, 1984
-December 20, 1989-January 31, 1990
-August 2, 1990 to the date of cessation of hostilities

 March 15th      Past Presidents Parley health Care Scholarship     -This scholarship has been established to assist needy and deserving students or adults to commence or further their education in any phase of the health care field.
-Applicant must be a member of an American Legion Auxiliary in the Department of MN, for a minimum of 3 years; and maintain a "C" or better average in school if a student.
-Applications must be signed by the Unit President of which you are a member 
-Scholarship must be used for the purpose of  continuing education, beyond high school.

 March 19      West Central Smiles Scholarship 
-Must be a high school senior graduating in the spring of current year from Benson, Morris, Chokio-Alberta, Hancock, CGB, Herman Norcross, West Central Area, Wheaton, Ortonville (NW Region).
-Strong leadership roles
-Cannot be an immediate family member of an employee of West Central Smiles

 April 1
   American Legion Memorial Scholarship
   Applicant must:
1. Be a child, grandchild, adopted child, or a stepchild of an American Legion or American Legion Auxiliary member.
2. Be a high school graduate.
3. Be a student that shows qualities or initiative and desire.
4. Be a student that is loyal to his/her country.
5. Establish financial need.

 April 1
   MN American Legion Foundation Scholarhip
   -Applicant must be a legal resident of Minnesota and a citizen of the United States.
-Applicant shall be a veteran, a child of a veteran, or a grandchild of a veteran.
-Applicant must meet the academic standards of the school he or she wishes to attend.
- Applicant must have a good record of school and community citizenship.
-Applicant must have the desire to pursue an education beyond high school.

June 1    Aspiring Fashion Professional Scholarship    Students that are interested in pursuing a fashion degree at an accredited post-secondary school or college.    http://www.fashion-schools.org/
